At Heycroft Primary School, we hold the belief that science education should captivate children's interests, leveraging their existing knowledge and innate curiosity to cultivate a genuine passion for asking and answering questions.

We use the Developing Experts scheme as a starting point to fulfil our goal to immerse them in the exploration of the world, fostering a deep understanding. Throughout their learning journey with us, we anticipate that all children will progressively acquire more knowledge, enhanced skills, and lasting memories. This is achieved through explicit teaching of scientific concepts and procedures, empowering them to work scientifically and actively engage with the subject matter.
