Our engaging English curriculum is designed to empower them with the ability to not only convey ideas but also express emotions and concepts to others. We want you to know that we teach them to understand different communication purposes and audiences, enabling them to adapt their skills accordingly. This way, your child develops not just literacy skills but the confidence to effectively communicate in various situations.

Reading

We follow the Take One Book reading scheme for reading lessons. It  is a literature based framework for teaching reading in primary schools. The approach promotes reading for understanding and enjoyment. Our lessons are structured to develop deeper reading for all children using a rigorously curated collection of fiction, nonfiction, poetry and picture books. 

Writing

Our writing is based on the books we study for reading following a 3 weekly cycle of grammar, understanding the text type and finally drafting editing and publishing.
