The development of a life-long love and immersion in music for all ages of pupils in the primary phase starts with a structured and sequenced introduction to instruments, musical theory and the widest range of exemplary content.

We use the Lion Pathways curriculum to showcase the best of the of the ages - spanning classical and contemporary pieces from a broad range of composers, performers and artists. Pupils will be exposed to the very best of the global offering in this subject and taken on the journey to create, compose and perform their own pieces. Written for primary schools by primary school teachers - the curriculum seeks to balance the requirements with equipment and instruments that are widely available - but remaining flexible to accommodate the full range of opportunities.
