The whole school learnt a special dance which was performed on the playground at the end of the day. The day raised money towards treatment for our good friend and former pupil Lily Whythe.

Heycroft Ofsted Report - July 2017

Welcome to our Web Site

  "Purple Power - Stronger Together"

We approach learning as  a journey that sparks the natural curiosity of all learners; developing independence, resilience and a thirst for life-long learning that enables everyone to achieve their full potential.

We are all very proud of Heycroft Primary School, which has gained an excellent reputation locally. Our core values of Respect, Excellence and Determination underpin everything that we stand for.

Our  committed and dedicated staff and governors work hard to provide the very best opportunities for all pupils. As well as a rich and engaging curriculum which enables the children to learn and apply key skills, develop knowledge and a love of learning.  Our intent is to create a curriculum with  rich and memorable learning opportunities which will enable our pupils to thrive, make positive choices  and to develop the attitudes and skills which set the foundations for a happy and successful life. We actively promote the British Values of Democracy, Rule of Law, Respect for  Others and  Individual Liberty.

An extensive range of club activities in sport and the arts as well as regular educational trips  and visitors from the community fully enrich the curriculum. Over the past few years, the school has received the Enhanced Healthy Schools Award, the Artsmark Gold Award, International Award, Geography Bronze Award, Basic Skills Award, Drugaware Award, Equality and Diversity award and  the NACE Challenge Award.

We have a very active Student Council and value the views and contributions our pupils make to the school and the wider community.

We work in close partnership with
parents, governors, the local community and the local authority to provide the very best all-round educational experience for the children in our care.

We do hope that you find our website useful . If you are a prospective parent and would like to visit the school, please contact the school office to make an appointment where you will be made most welcome. Please note that paper copies of any of our polices are available on request.
